The Indian Coast Guard recruitment department has released a notification to join as Navik (GD) and Navik (Domestic Branch). According to the information, online applications are invited from the male (Indian Citizens) having the required qualifications and age limit (as mentioned below) for recruitment to the post of Navik (General Duty) and Navik (Domestic branch) in the Indian Coast Guard, and Armed Force of the Union. Eligibility Criteria for Navik in Indian Coast Guard

Qualification for Navik:
Navik (General Duty): Candidates must be passed 10+2 in Maths and Physics from an education board recognized by the Council of the Board for School Education (COBSE).

Navik (Domestic Branch): The student who is willing to apply for Navik (Domestic Branch) post must be passed the class 10th (Matric / Secondary) examination. The board must be recognized by the Council of Boards for School Education.

Age limit: minimum 18 Years and maximum 22 years. The candidate must be born between 01-09-2001 and 31 August 2025 ( Both dates inclusive).

Upper Age Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC (non-creamy layer) candidates.

Indian Coast Guard Navik Examination Fee

Examination Fee: Rs.300 (Rupees Three Hundred only)

SC/ST candidates are exempted from payment of a fee

All other category candidates are required to pay a fee of Rs.300/- through online mode by using net banking or by using Visa/Master/Maestro/Rupay Credit/Debit Card/UPI.

E-admit cards will be issued for the examination only to those candidates who have successfully paid the examination fee and who are entitled to a waiver of the examination fee.

Document to be uploaded during the online application

Candidates will be required to upload documents in two phases. Some of the documents are required at the online application stage and a few are required to be uploaded if shortlisted for stage II. The candidates have to scan the original documents as applicable for the post applied and upload them to the online application.

Compulsory Documents are to be uploaded during filling out Online Application;

Passport size recent photograph. The photographs are to be taken with the candidate holding a black slate in front of his chest with his name and date of photograph taken, clearly written on it with white chalk in capital letters. The photograph should be without a cap, spectacles and both ears should be visible.

Scanned Left-Hand Impression image
Proof of Date of birth (Birth Certificate or Class 10th Marksheet)
Identity Proof (Aadhaar Card / PAN Card / Voter ID Card / Driving License or Passport)
Service Certificate/ NOC if the candidate is serving ICG Personnel or ICG, civilians.
Domicile Certificate (if applicable)-Resident Certificate is not a ‘Domicile Certificate’. Candidates uploading a ‘Resident Certificate’ in place of a ‘Domicile Certificate’ will not be eligible.

Selection Process & Merit List of ICG Navik (GD & DB)

Stage-I: Written Examinaiton

Stage-II
Based on the performance in the Computer Based Online Examination, a merit list will be prepared and provisional E-admit card for Stage-II will be issued as per the vacancies available and ratio decided by ICG. If the candidate is shortlisted for Stage-II then he will be required to upload additional documents as mentioned above.

Stage -III: Based on the performance in stage I and Stage II, an all India merit list will be prepared and provisional e-admit card for stage-III will issued as per the vacancies available and ratio by Indian Coast Guard. The duration of stage III is 1 to 2 dyas. Stage-III is the recruitment process involves the foloowing;-

Document Verification: All the information provided in the online application has to match with all the original documents like grade X/XII/Identity proof/Caste certificate etc.
Final Medicals at INS Chilka
Submission of Original Document, Police Verification and other Associated form.

Stege IV: The candidates who clear the stage-III and stand in merit as per the vacancies available will be provisionally shortlisted for training at INS Chilka.
