Kendriya Vidyalaya Admission 2023-24

KV Admission Form 2023 Online

The online application for admission to Std 1 in Kendriya Vidyalayas for the academic year 2023-2024 will available on kvsonlineadmission.kvs.gov.in. Students or parents of students should ensure about Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) admission rules, regulations, and guidelines available at kvsangathan.nic.in. Guardian of the children is strongly advised not to submit multiple applications to the same Vidyalaya for the same child. If multiple registration forms are submitted for the same child in the same Kendriya Vidyalaya, only the last application will be considered in the admission process.

Age Limit for Admission to KVS

A child must be 6 years old on 31st March in the academic year in which admission is sought of class I (Child born on 1st April should also be considered.)

The minimum and maximum age limit for admission in Kendriya Vidyalayas in various classes are given below (A child born on 1st April should also be considered.) The age limit of the students is given here as per the session 2022-23.

Note: The maximum age limit can be relaxed by two years in case of differently abled children by the principal.

There is no age restriction for admission to class XI provided the student is seeking admission in the year of passing to Class X examination. Similarly, there will be no upper & lower age limit for admission to class XII provided there has been no break in the continuous study of the student after passing class XI.

KVS Admission for Class I,  X & XII

Fresh Admission to class 10th and class 12th, other than Kendriya Vidyalaya, will be entertained subject to the availability of vacancies. Such admissions to classes X and XII will be considered by the Deputy Commissioner of the Region concerned, only if, the average strength in class X/XII is below 40. This will further be subject to the following conditions;
1. The child has been in the same course of studies i.e. in a CBSE-affiliated school.
2. For class X, the child must have obtained not less than 55% marks in aggregate in class IX.
3. For admission to class XII, 55% marks in the class XI examination are mandatory.
4. The child should otherwise be eligible as per KVS admission guidelines.
5. The combinations of subjects opted for by the student are available in Kendriya Vidyalayas.
6. Registration for class XI shall be taken up immediately after the declaration of results of class X and admissions up to the full strength of the class should be completed within 20 days after the declaration of the results by CBSE.

kvsangathan.nic.in Admission Form 2023

Registration forms shall be made available by the Principal Free of Cost. However, Class-I registration will be done online on Online Admission Portal when the portal is live.

Registration forms are complete in all respects and accompanied by all required documents must be submitted/ sent to the Vidyalaya concerned within the prescribed date as per notification of the KVS.

Attested copies of the prescribed documents would be required to be submitted along with the application form for registration.

KVS Class II to VIII Method of Admission

Admission test shall not be conducted for admission to Class II to VIII and the admission may be granted based on the Priority Category system (1 to 5 or 6 as the case may be). If applications are more than the number of seats, a lottery system will be followed in each category including single girl child quota
(Class VI Onwards).

Method of Admission in Class IX

For admission to Class IX, an admission test shall be conducted and a merit list will be prepared for each category of priority separately. Admission shall be granted in the sequence of priority categories, in the order of merit.
(i) Admission tests shall be conducted in the subjects: Hindi, English, Maths, Social Science, and Science.
(ii) There will be only one paper of the Admission test of 3 Hours duration & 100 marks comprising Hindi, English, Maths, Social Science, and Science each of 20 marks.
(iii) Candidates must secure 33% marks in aggregate to qualify. Students belonging to SC/ST/Divyang category (PH) will be eligible for admission on securing 25% in aggregate

KVS Students’ Method to Admission in Class XI

Admission in different streams, Science, Commerce & Humanities is based on merit up to a maximum of 55 strength in the case of KVS students as per availability of streams in the Kendriya Vidyalaya. Choice of the stream will be taken from students with parental consent before the declaration of merit list. The stream will be allotted on the basis of marks obtained in the Class X CBSE Board Examination.

Once the seats are exhausted in one stream students have to take admission in the other available stream in that Vidyalaya. The undertaking is to be obtained from students before the finalization of the merit list by Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan.

Note: If seats remain vacant in class XI even after admitting the children of Kendriya Vidyalaya/ neighboring KVs then the admissions to non-KV children may be granted on the same criteria, in the sequence of categories of priority.

How to Apply online for Kendriya Vidyalaya Admission Form?

• Visit the KVS website https://kvsonlineadmission.kvs.gov.in
• Go through the Detailed instructions for filling Online Form against KVS Admission 2023-24
• Register yourself by providing your details as asked while filling out the online form.
• Complete all the stages for the online Application form
• Upload scanned documents as required
• After payment of the registration fee and verifying all details entered by you, click ‘submit’ to final
• submission of the application.
• You must take a print copy of the application form and payment receipt for further usage.

Steps to submit KV Online Admission Form 2023-24

There are two necessary steps; On successfully submitting an application form.
a. Registering on the portal – On successful registration, you will be assigned a unique Login Code. Please note down your unique Login code carefully.
b. Filling and submitting the application: The login code obtained after registration must be used to Login and fill out the online application form. You can indicate a choice of up to three different Vidyalayas in India. After filling in the application form, it must be submitted by clicking on the submit Application button. On successful submission, you will be assigned a unique Application submission code, that is different from the Login Code. You will also be shown a list of original documents to be submitted to a Vidyalaya at the time of admission in case provisional admission is offered by the Vidyalaya. Please note down your Application submission code and the list of documents to be submitted at the time of admission carefully.

Only after steps (a) and (b) above have been completed, that is the application process completed.
