Candidates should check the selection procedure for Sub-Inspector or Reserve Sub-Inspector vacancy in Andhra Pradesh Police Department and the examination pattern for the preliminary written test.

1. Preliminary Written Test for both posts SCT (SI /RSI)
Candidates (Men & Women) shall be required to appear for the Preliminary Written Test in two papers. The duration of both papers will be 3 hours. The applicants who have to appear in a written test must be qualified in both papers. The AP Police SI & RSI Syllabus for Preliminary Written Test has been given in the SLPRB AP SI Notification 2023.

AP Police SI / RSI Intimation Letter / PMT / PET
Intimation Letter: The candidates who qualify for the Preliminary Written Test will be informed about the dates for downloading the Intimation letter through the website https://slprb.ap.gov.in for appearing in the Physical Measurement Test (PMT)/ Physical Efficiency Test (PET) with details of Venue, Date and Time. Qualified candidates must appear with Intimation Letter on PMT/PET date.
2. Physical Measurements Test (PMT): Candidates who qualify for the Preliminary Written Test have to undergo the Physical Measurements Test and should meet the required measurements as given in the notification for Men & Women.
3. Physical Efficiency Test (PET): After qualifying for the PMT, candidates will be required to undergo the Run/Jump as specified for Men & females. You should see the official notification.
4. Final Write Examination for SI / RSI AP Police: Candidates who qualify in the Physical Efficiency Test – PET, shall be required to appear for the Final Written Examination in four Papers (each of three hours duration) as given below.
AP Police SI Merit List (Final Selection)
The final selection of the candidates for the post of Sub Inspector and Reserve Sub Inspector will be made strictly on relative merit, as per marks obtained by them based on their score in the Final Written Examination and Physical Efficiency Test.
When two or more candidates in a particular category obtain equal marks, preference will be given to the candidate who was born earlier.
